After a season that wasted potential and time, the final episode of HBO Max's 'Sex and the City' sequel series forced our heroine to image a future without male companionship. Yawn.

The series spawned two movies, 2008's Sex and the City, and its sequel two years later, plus a CW series, The Carrie Diaries, which ran from 2013 to 2014. Most recently, Parker has starred in And Just Like That... — the revival and sequel series to Sex and the City, which aired its finale on Aug. 14.

The end of the 'Sex and the City' prequel series was just as uncanny and strange as the three seasons that preceded it.
