Marcus Semien kept the good times rolling Saturday night with a walk-off single to beat the Atlanta Braves and clinch the team’s fourth consecutive series victory. That includes series wins over the division-leading Astros and Tigers, plus a sweep of the Athletics.

The Atlanta Braves placed right-hander Grant Holmes on the 15-day injured list on Sunday, meaning all five of the club’s starters on Opening Day are on the injured list. Holmes has elbow inflammation and was replaced on the active roster by Daysbel Hernández,

The Texas Rangers will go for their second consecutive series sweep and their sixth straight win when they square off with the struggling Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game interleague series in Arlington, Texas.

Injuries continue to hit the Braves’ rotation. The latest setback is right-hander Grant Holmes officially landing on the injured list with right elbow inflammation on Sunday, a day after he complained of elbow tightness during his start against the Rangers on Saturday.

The Rangers didn’t string together any big rallies until the eighth inning but continually put runs on the scoreboard in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings. The wheels fell off in the eighth by way of an erratic Rafael Montero.
