A new wildfire in the Colorado mountains called the Pearl Fire forced evacuations on Monday. The evacuations were ordered for the Crystal Lakes area in Larimer County in near the Colorado-Wyoming state line.

As of 8:45 p.m., the fire is estimated to be 138 acres and 0% contained, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators believe the fire began on private property just after 11 a.m. FOX31's Nate Belt is live in Larimer County where the fire continues to burn.

A motorcyclist died in what troopers call a “freak accident” after being hit by a flying tire on a highway, Colorado State Patrol told news outlets. The fatal crash took place on Interstate 25 near Colorado Springs at 8:56 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, troopers told KKTV.
