As the Washington Commanders and Terry McLaurin continue to haggle over the star wide receiver's value in contract talks, his eventual extension could come in lower than what he is believed to be seeking.

During Thursday's edition of the ESPN "Get Up" program, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler noted that the Commanders and McLaurin are locked in "a classic standoff" as McLaurin allegedly looks to secure "parts" of the five-year, $150M deal that the Pittsburgh Steelers gave DK Metcalf this past March.

As this standoff persists, ESPN’s John Keim noted that the Commanders offense noticeably missed having McLaurin’s production on the field in their joint practice Wednesday with the New England Patriots, referencing a lack of explosiveness and no real threat on the boundary.
