It's safe to say that Jalen Brunson is not one of those players. You may have noticed the New York Knicks' point guard making clutch basket after clutch basket this postseason -- including a devious game-winner to send the Detroit Pistons packing in the first round -- and the numbers certainly back up the eye test.

Jalen Brunson and the Knicks are starting to become synonymous with clutch. Brunson helped orchestrate a 20-point comeback to defeat the defending champion Boston Celtics in overtime on their home floor on Monday night, giving New York their fourth clutch win of the Playoffs – the most in the NBA.

With Brunson’s dominant fourth quarter in Game 1, he made NBA playoff history as he became just the third player since 1997-98 to score 75 or more points in the fourth quarter through their first seven games of a postseason run. Brunson joins Stephen Curry, who did so in 2023, and Kobe Bryant, who accomplished it in 2008.
