On Monday night, the Lions will battle with the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium, in a rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game. The 49ers, led by head coach Kyle Shanahan, have taken a major step back after winning 12 games and the NFC West division a season ago.

The Lions can clinch the NFC North title with a win over the 49ers on Monday if the Packers upset the Vikings.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the ten teams that has already locked up a spot, but their exact seed remains to be determined. Green Bay could earn the #5 seed if they win out — beating the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears down the stretch — and if the Vikings also lose to the Detroit Lions in week 18.

If the Vikings defeat the Packers on Sunday, then the NFC North will be decided in Week 18 regardless of the outcome of the Lions' game. The Lions have put their sole focus on defeating the 49ers in what is a rematch of last year's NFC Championship game.
