While there was no winner for Saturday night's Powerball jackpot, one person who purchased a ticket in Southern California came close to winning the top prize and is raking in some big bucks.

A Powerball ticket sold in California won nearly $60,000 but just missed the $371 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball to win $59,783 in the drawing Saturday, Oct. 12, the California Lottery said.

Four tickets in California matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $15,594 each.
