Robert Morris, the former senior pastor of the Dallas-based Gateway Church, abused a girl over several years in the 1980s, the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office said.

According to the announcement, Morris was a traveling evangelist visiting in Hominy with the family of the alleged victim, who was 12 at the time, in December of 1982. The indictment alleges that Morris’s sexual misconduct began that Christmas and continued over the next four years.

Robert Morris resigned as senior pastor of Gateway Church in June after admitting to "inappropriate sexual behavior" in the 1980s.
