Xiaomi has taken to Weibo today to confirm that its recently announced Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro phones will have a launch event in China on October 29th. These are the first devices that will launch with Snapdragon's latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which was confirmed at the Snapdragon Summit this week.

On stage at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, the chipmaker introduced its newest silicon for premium phones, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Soon after, Xiaomi took the stage to declare that the first device to use this chip will be its own flagship Xiaomi 15, which is coming by the end of October.

Xiaomi's SVP and president, Adam Zeng, discussed what consumers can expect from the Xiaomi 15 series during Qualcomm's Summit 2024. Zeng states the phone will be "the first phone globally" to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
