I am now of the opinion that John Dutton is Jamie's Uncle. Garrett Randall murdered John's sister and this is why John adopted Jamie. Why Jamie went to Harvard to get his degree in law, after all, Jamie is a Dutton by blood. The anger Beth displays is unhinged towards Jamie.
