Assuming the Louvre is still selling tickets on site (I haven't checked), there will be separate lines for those with tickets and those needing to buy tickets. Oct 7, 2024 · We would go in the morning then go get lunch and spend some time in the Tuilleries and then head back into the Louvre in the afternoon. Now because of the way ticketing works at the Louvre with entries not to the whole museum but to the wings, they enforce the 'one visit' rule by only allowing entry to each wing once.

Feb 12, 2016 · Based on our last 4 visits to Paris, if staying for a week or more, get an apartment near the Louvre, but in the 2nd Arrondissement - perfect location. For a shorter visit, we've always used the Hotel Familia www.hotel-paris-familia.com in the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank - still pretty close to the Louvre and other sights.

Even the website is huge, but highly interesting, with focus lessons, themmatic trails, as stated above, etc. For a Louvre guided tour, you buy your ticket in a separate area once you are under the pyramid.
