DETLEF SCHREMPF JERSEY RETIRED AT UW: Former Centralia Tiger and NBA All-Star Detlef Schrempf speaks at a ceremony after his number is retired by the University of Washington in Seattle on Saturday, Feb. 28. On June 14, 2001, Schrempf, a former Centralia High School exchange student from Germany who was coached by Centralia basketball coach Ron Brown, retired from his career with the National Basketball Association.
