The klipspringer is a small, mountain-dwelling antelope found in the rocky landscapes of eastern and southern Africa. Famous for its remarkable agility, it can leap effortlessly and balance on the narrowest ledges, thanks to its unique, rubbery hooves. These sure-footed antelopes usually live in loyal pairs, often seen watching over each other from high vantage points. Their young, known as fawns, are born in hidden rock crevices, where they remain safely tucked away during their first few weeks

A baby female klipspringer, a small African antelope, was thriving and exploring her new habitat at Oakland Zoo, adorable footage released on May 26 shows. “She’s healthy, alert, and growing more confident every day,” the zoo wrote. “Adult klipspringers can leap an impressive 10 to 12 feet straight up, so it’s great to see her developing better balance and boldly exploring her habitat.” Credit: Oakland Zoo via Storyful | KTVU Fox 2
