LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - One of downtown Lufkin’s most iconic landmarks is getting a complete makeover. Due to lack of funding to preserve this mural, the City of Lufkin put the building up for sale. Staff opened bids on the Dr. Pepper mural wall restoration project on December 22, 2025, and received one bid of $25,650.
